Walkthrough

Directions to start of quest:

    * Find a guard in Kytar and kill him so that you get thrown into prison (alternatively find the jail cell and get through the door into the cell). This is where the quest starts. Speak with Ned (there are several things you can say, but they all have the same result):

say 'What are you in for?'

Ned says 'I tried to date the mayor's secretary.  The mayor was furious.'
Ned says 'He's secretly been in love with her for years.  You should ask'
Ned says 'her the question: What can you tell me about relationships?'

Kill Ned to get the key to the Jail Cell (or cast Passdoor spell) and go to the Front Desk in the City Hall The guards are all aggro toward you until you complete the quest. Go s, e, s, e, e, n, e. Speak with Ellen the Secretary:
	

say 'What can you tell me about relationships?'

Ellen says 'I've never really been in a good relationship.  The only man I'
Ellen says 'find attractive in this city is the mayor, but he doesn't seem'
Ellen says 'to have the courage to ask me out.'
Ellen gets a note from her purse.
Ellen says 'I have an idea.  How about you give him this note for me.'
Ellen gives you a note from the secretary.
Ellen says 'I've had that note for years.  Please don't fail me.'

Go to Mayor Fle and give him the note. Go w, n.
	

Fle reads the note.
Fle says 'At last!  She DOES love me!'
Fle says 'Give her this ring.'
Fle gives you a diamond wedding ring.
Fle says 'After you give it to her, return to me and tell me what she said.'

Return to Ellen the Secretary and give her the Diamond ring. Go s, e.
	

Ellen says 'You gave him my note!'
Ellen hugs you tightly.
Ellen says 'You can tell the mayor: She said yes.'

Return to Mayor Fle and tell him Ellen's message. Go w, n.
	

say 'She said yes.'

Fle says 'Excellent!'
Fle says 'I have an errand for you then.'
Fle says 'Tell the baker: The mayor is getting married and needs a cake.'

Go to Cro the Baker with the Mayor's message. Go s, s, e, e, s, s, w, n.
	

say 'The mayor is getting married and needs a cake.'

Cro says 'Of course he needs a cake.  I knew he'd get married someday.'
Cro says 'Now go tell the magician: The mayor needs candles for his wedding.'

Go to see Word the Magician in the Magic Shop to arrange for the candles. Go s, w, w, w, n.
	

say 'The mayor needs candles for his wedding.'

Word says 'I'll be sure to make them.'
Word says 'Tell the bartender to: Prepare wine for the mayor's wedding.'

Go to Frawd's Bar and tell him Word's message. Go s, e, e, e, s.
	

say 'Prepare wine for the mayor's wedding.'

Frawd says 'A wedding?  Splendid.'
Frawd says 'I just love weddings.  All the people, all the food, all the wine.'
Frawd winks suggestively.
Frawd says 'Tell the armorer: The mayor will need a new suit for his wedding.'

Ergo the Armourer will assist you. Go n, w, w, w, s.
	

say 'The mayor will need a new suit for his wedding.'

Ergo says 'A new suit for the mayor?  Fabulous.  A customer who can pay!'
Ergo says 'Tell the mayor: Everything will be ready.'

Once again return to to Mayor Fle with the news. Go n, e, e, e, e, n, n, w, w, n, n.
	

say 'Everything will be ready.'

Fle says 'Great!  One last thing though.'
Fle says 'Tell a priest: The mayor is getting married.'
Fle says 'If any guards try to stop you, say: I'm on a mission for the mayor.'

Go to the Temple and speak with the Priest. Go s, s, e, e, s, s, e, e, s, s, s, s, s, e, n.
	

say 'The mayor is getting married.'

A Priest says 'Splendid.  Tell that to Ratyk.'

Ratyk is in the Temple. Go e, n, w, w.
	

say 'The mayor is getting married.'

Ratyk shouts 'The mayor is getting married.'
Ratyk tells you 'Go tell the mayor: Everything is set for the wedding.'

Finally, return to Mayor Fle with the good news. Go n, n, n, w, w, n, n, w, w, n, n.
	

say 'Everything is set for the wedding.'

Fle says 'You have done a wonderful job.'
Fle says 'From now on, the gates of the city are open to you.'
Fle says 'May your journeys be fruitful till the end of your days.'
Fle pauses for a second.
Fle says 'I do have one last thing for you.'
Fle rummages behind his desk for a second.
Fle gives you a brown rucksack.

The quest is complete. Inside the rucksack are:
# 	A gate key (2)
# Travel rations (2)
# A waterskin
# A slice of wedding cake

From now on the Gates of the City will be opened for you by the Guards, and they will no longer be aggro towards you.
